This Nike Air Max 97 Honors Hong Kong’s First Gold Medal Fencer

Edgar Cheung Ka-long earned Hong Kong’s first gold medal fencer in the Men’s Individual Foil event at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Nike has created a special edition Air Max 97 to commemorate the time.

This Nike Air Max 97 comes in a blend of Olive Green and Tan tones with Golden Swooshes. Velcro tongue patches, his four-word mantra written along the Air Max bubble, and a topographical depiction of Hong Kong’s largest mountain peak, Tai Mo Shan, positioned under its transparent outsole are among the significant characteristics.

The Nike Air Max 97 “Cheung Ka Long,” which is now available at Nike Hong Kong, may have a broader distribution in the United States on Nike.com.
