Nike Honors The Father of Air Again With The Air Max Plus

Marion Franklin Rudy, often known as Frank Rudy, is the inventor of Nike’s Air technology, which revolutionised the footwear industry. In 1978, Nike introduced the Air Tailwind, the first shoe employing Rudy’s “Air” technology. He was able to patent the technologies that advanced the “Revolution” in 1980.

In honour of the most recent engineer, Nike will also release a special edition Air Max Plus. The shoe’s mesh base is neon green, while its mudguards and heels are blue leather. Special features include blueprint insoles displaying the technical artwork with his signature, EST. 1998 imprinted on the lateral Air unit, and his name imprinted on the lace tips. The design is finished with an air pressure hangtag above a White midsole and Gum rubber outsole.
