Kasina, a Korean streetwear company, will collaborate with Nike once again, but this time on the Air Max 1. This release is significant since it marks Kasina’s 25th anniversary as well as the Air Max 1’s 35th anniversary.
Kasina will offer two Nike Air Max 1 hues. Both will be made of high-quality materials such as leather, suede, and pony hair. Closer inspection reveals a flower on the lateral toe’s small Swoosh emblem, Kasina branding on the tongue labels, wooden lace jewels, and an ice transparent outsole.
The mandarin duck served as inspiration for the first pair. In Korean tradition, carved wood mandarin ducks called as kireogi are typically presented as wedding presents because it is thought that, unlike other varieties of ducks, they marry for life and that if one of the pair dies, the other would grieve. This represents Kasina’s anniversary as well as the idea ‘better together.’ Each pair also includes a duck-shaped hangtag.
